What a varied line up! It all felt like a mini festival, starting so early, getting to see quite a few different groups... and of course getting absolutely soaked!

Missed the White Lies too, but we decided to chill a bit and watch Girls Aloud from the seating near the pitch. I liked the idea that you could stand or sit in the unreserved seating depending on if you were up for a bit of a mosh!

Girls Aloud were surprisingly better than I thought. It didn't look like they were lip-synching and some seemed to actually have a voice!

Jaz Z - not something I would normally go and see, but at this point we were in the middle of the crowd, and got completely caught up in the atmosphere. He got the whole place shaking.

Coldplay were awesome. I've been wanting to see them for ages, particularly after getting their DVD of their live performances in Sydney in 2003. It really is great when 70K people are singing at the top of their voices most of the time! Acoustics were a tad strange in the middle as you can hear the sound bouncing back behind you, but it wasn't too bad.

The acoustic version of Billy Jean and the mobile phone mexican wave were v cool!

A really great afternoon and evening out. Got absolutely soaked at the early stage of Coldplay's set, but it was rather tropical, and by the end, we started to dry out! It was kind of liberating in that rain getting drenched rocking to some fantastic music.

Thanks Coldplay :)

After a boozy lunch in the Brazilian Steak house in Islington, the weight of the 10 kgs of beef the 4 of us had just consumed slowed us down to the point we missed the White Lies.

Just in time for the lovely Girls Aloud we loaded up with some drinks and wen to grab some seats. Was really impressed by Girls Aloud, they all have amazing voices and it was all really well choreographed.

Jay Z came on rock Wembley to the core with all his greats. By this time we had ventured down to the pitch. Wicked band and the visuals I think were better than Coldplay.

Needless to say Coldplay were amazing, even though the minute they came to stage the heavens opened and did it rain. The whole back of the enormous stage turned into a screen, but have to say Jay Z's visual effects were a lot better. Coldplay rocked on for 2 hours through new, old and didn't miss any of my favourites. With butterflies pouring from the skies to hundreds of yellow ballons bouncing all over the shot, it was a truely wicked gig.

Coldplay well done for putting on such a good bash!
