Lilygreen and Maguire may be a new name to many but their names will be appearing in the singles/download chart in the near future if tonight’s appearance is anything to go by.
The acoustic duo has landed one of the support slots on the current Westlife Farewell arena tour. Both of them looked like they could not believe their luck in playing to an eager audience of 12,000. Vocally they harmonise perfectly and are different to any act around at the moment.
They have the songs too to back up their friendly and confident stage manner. Giving Up, Giving Up sounds like a future hit whilst the current single out this week, Ain’t Love Crazy sounds like it was inspired by Gregg Alexander and his New Radicals. Think of Ronan Keating’s Life Is a Rollercoaster (which Alexander wrote) and you will be half way there to what the duo sound like.
Using their short 20 minute slot they made a big impression. A refreshing and confident performance from a duo that have a bright future.
