This is an album that will have a broad appeal as the album is quite diverse. With so many strong commercial tracks on the album most of the tracks could be a future single.
Opening track This I’ll Be My Year could be Alterbridge mixed with Tom Petty and even name checks Princess Diana and Tony Blair. With a chorus that is so infectious you wonder how they make it sound so easy. Drive By, the single is a pan European hit and it is easy to see why with its melodic charm.
Bruises – a duet with Ashley Monroe is a track that you could imagine The Beautiful South singing if they were from the other side of the Atlantic. 50 Ways To Say Goodbye sounds like The Mavericks meets Bowling for Soup. Mermaid is another standout track with its uplifting vibe. The whole album sounds like it was intended to be heard a summer’s day. If you liked the single then chances are you will enjoy the album.
