Laura Marling, Mumford & Sons + More Join Green Man Festival

More names have been added to the Green Man Festival 2010 bill. Among these are Tindersticks. The elegantly-arranged 'Falling Down a Mountain', their eighth long-player since 1993, finds them at their mesmerising, multi-instrumental best – the perfect sophomore soundtrack to while away the twinkling twilight on Sunday.

One of this year’s biggest breakthrough acts, Mumford & Sons made their mark in 2008 – wowing the Green Man tent with a barnstorming set before dashing over to the main stage to back Laura Marling. Here they return as stars in their own right, their dazzling debut 'Sigh No More' proving to be one of the must-have records of recent months.

Laura Marling was just a teenager when she had the main stage hanging on her every word at Green Man in 2008 - now, at the grand old age of 20, the folk starlet returns with second album 'I Speak Because I Can' transporting the raw emotion of her Mercury-nominated debut to dizzy new heights.

Denmark’s Efterklang have been making music together for a decade but their  brilliant new album 'Magic Chairs' is their best and bravest to date, packed with ingenious electronic pop gems that could well make them one of the surprise hits of this year’s festival.

John Grant, former lead singer of The Czars, will also be gracing the Green Man main stage this August. His new album 'Queen Of Denmark' has been a favourite in the Green Man office since it's release and we cannot wait to hear it in our Welsh valley.

Also tipped for Green Man glory are Canada’s The Besnard Lakes, whose excellent 'The Besnard Lakes Are The Roaring Night' has gained heavy radio play and is sure to feature highly in the end-of-year ‘best-of’ polls.

Other bands include; The Tallest Man On Earth, Johnny Flynn, Summer Camp, Chew Lips, Spencer McGarry Season, Sparrow and the Workshop, Jonathan Powell and Race Horses.
