Cornish folk star Seth Lakeman has been confirmed as the Sunday night headliner at the sixth annual Wychwood Festival, which will take place at Cheltenham Racecourse from 4th to 6th June.
Seth Lakeman was nominated for a Mercury Music Prize and won the ‘Singer of the Year’ and ‘Best Album’ awards at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.
He is credited with blending elements of traditional folk and story-telling with modern indie-folk melodies to produce live performances which exhibit a raw, rhythmic energy.
Lakeman joins a list of renowned acts already confirmed for headline spots across the weekend including celebrated rockers The Levellers (Friday) and The Happy Mondays (Saturday).
