Bloodstock Open Air 2010

If you were by any chance to be strolling through the Derbyshire countryside the weekend of Friday 13th of August 2010, you might just happen to hear 150 decibels of rather heavy metal disgruntling the wildlife.

Bloodstock Open Air, is one of the Uk's most loved metal festivals, held in high regard by the elitist and open minded, this is the place to be if you're a lover of all things metal.  Boasting a metal market, metal karaoke, a lot of horn throwing and air clawing as well as bounteous amounts of Old Speckled Hen, Bloodstock is famous for its family friendly vibe whilst retaining a massively party-all-night attitude.

So far the mighty Heaven and Hell, Children of Bodom and Fear Factory have been announced as headliners as well as UK only performances from the likes of French metallers Gojira and Sonata Arctica. Add to this the legendary Obituary, black metal royals Behemoth, British brain-addlers Devin Townsend and a truckload of other fantastic bands with many more to be billed, this is certainly already shaping up to be a corker of a three day experience.

With tickets at a mere £104.60, this is a musical bargain and a half. So for those who thirst for metal this is the place to be between the 13th and 16th of August 2010.
