Ahead of a busy year, Brooklyn-based wonderthings The National have got indie-pulses a pumping with news of a new album and a special one-off date at the Royal Albert Hall in May.
The band will play the Hall on May 6th, and have said that their 5th album - the follow-up to 2007's Boxer and this writer's 4th favourite album of the decade - will arrive in the same month.
This stand-alone show will be followed by a set at the Zenith in Paris on May 7th as special guests to inde legends Pavement (best gig ever?), with their own headline date in Berlin on May 9th.
