How many of you saw the Hope For Haiti Now Benefit?

I personally stayed up at watched all of it and thought it was really good. It was great how many people had got involved and helped out by taking phone calls and donations.

The performances were all incredible as well. all were very emotional and meaningful.

It was reported that the telethon had raised over US$58 million, not including corporate and large private donors or sales of the album and video. The amount is a record for donations by the general public to a telethon for disaster-relief. Its great to see everyone come together in times of need. Hopefully this kind of support will continue in the future - we definitely need it.

There were 18 performances in all which I have listed and linked to the videos below.

Alicia Keys - Prelude To A Kiss

Coldplay - A Message

Bruce Springsteen (With some members of The Session Band) - We Shall Overcome

Stevie Wonder (With Chior) - A Time To Love/Bridge Over Troubled Water

Shakira - I'll Stand By You

John Legend - Motherless Child

Mary J Blige - Hard Times

Taylor Swift - Breathless

Christina Aguilera - Lift Me Up

Sting (With The Roots and Chris Botti on Trumpet) - Driven To Tears

Beyonce (With Chris Martin on Piano) - Halo

Sheryl Crow, Kid Rock & Keith Urban - Lean On Me

Madonna (With Chior) - Like A Prayer

Justin Timberlake featuring Charlie Sexton and Matt Morris - Hallelujah

Jennifer Hudson (With The Roots) - Let It Be

Jay-Z, Rihanna, The Edge & Bono - Stranded (Haiti Mon Amour)

Dave Matthews & Neil Young - Alone & Forsaken

Wyclef Jean - Rivers Of Babylon

I urge you all to buy this album from either iTunes or Amazon as all of the profits go to Haiti.

I have embedded my fav performance of the night below - Such a great song anyway but I think the mood was captured perfectly in this version.
