Anastacia

I travelled over 60 miles through driving heavy snow on Sunday to get to this gig in Blackpool from Bradford. It was worth it - has anyone else had any travel problems getting to the gigs with this deadful snow?

This is what happened

It was always going to be a winner with these 3 divas from three different decades sharing the same stage and the expectations were delivered with first class performances from all 3 artists. The predominately female audience were on their feet from the first number when Lulu,Chaka Khan and Anastacia entered the stage together to perform a gusty version of Chaka's 1978 disco anthem, Im Every Woman, Anastacia took over vocal duties for her own track One Day In Your Life and Lulu continued with her early 1990's house track, Independance. The ladies were accompanied on stage by 6 very lively dancers who added to the visual aspect of the show.It was also an opportunity for the 3 divas to cover a range of other peoples work too, so you got a Mowtown medley, a Blues Brother melody and just what you would expect a disco melody culminating in every disco fans favourite - I Will Survive.Unsuprisingly its Chaka Khan that has the most powerful voice. An inspired version of Robbie William's Angels closes the show but it was in the encore when the girls all joined together with the Dan Hartman/Take That classic, Relight My Fire when things really shifted up a gear with Lulu's soulful vocals sending the track into orbit. It was a good entertaing feel-good couple of hours entertainment and the natural banter and warmth between all 3 vocalists and they appeared to be enjoying the gig just as much as the audience themselves.
