It's now official, Rage Against The Machine hold the 2009 Christmas number one slot! Aside from being a great day for music in general we also now have a free Rage gig to look forward to in 2010! (Even if getting tickets maight be easier said than done).
Personally, this is the first time i've paid any attention to the charts for about four years, im sure i'm not the only one, many people have asked me why I even care about the christmas number one. The fact is simple, I care because today has shown that people are becoming sick of the manufactured s**t shows like X Factor produce. This is proof that the British public would still rather listen to music written and recorded by talented musicians who put in the hard work, rather than a person four people sat behind a desk have told you to listen to. Now, does anyone think Cannibal Corpse for Christmas No1 2010 might be pushing it?
