Girls' knickers, good looking men and a great gig-what more could you want?

The Crave really are something else. For the last 3 years they have been touring with the likes of Shinedown, Buckcherry and Deep Purple, and I was lucky enough to catch them at their Manchester gig of their debut headline tour at the Roadhouse. I managed to grab the guys for an interview before the show-follow the link below...

Even though they have already made quite a name for themselves, they were all really down to earth and we had a great laugh with them before the gig.

The band are one of the few bands I have had the pleasure to meet that really do care about their fans; even after an exhausting set they were straight out into the crowd signing autographs and taking pictures with fans.

And now for the show itself.....WOW!!

Once again, they smashed all my expectations and put on one of the best live shows I have seen in a long time. They just didn't stop giving; it was obvious to all that they were loving every minute of performing and showed through in their playing.

They are a stange mix of music-the best way to describe them is probably as a mix of indie and classic rock, which is undoubtably down to the varied musical influences they have grown up with. Ryan (vocals) grew up on the like of Bad Company and Queen, while Carlos (guitar) was a huge fan of the beatles. Tom (bass) loves pretty much everything from hard rock to classical music, and C.J. (drums) is into a mixture of rap metal and punk. Sounds awful? Well, it actually works very well.

Each member brings a unique sound and feel to the band, and the overall effect just blows you away. These guys aren't afraid to be daring and try new things when it comes to the songs they play, which is such a refreshing change from most rock bands out there who feel that they have to stick religiously to a certain genre.

The audience simply couldn't get enough of The Crave, and even after the encore everyone was desperate for more! Nothing is set in stone for performances next year yet, but they are hoping to hit the European festival scene hard, with tantalising hints of maybe Sonisphere again...(here's to hoping)!

Watch this space for the latest developments regarding what The Crave do next....Their debut album is due out in early March and I for one am counting down the days!

Their Myspace page also gives you all the information about them that you could want as well as streaming MP3s, and I have it on good authority that at some point very soon there might well be a taster track from the upcoming album on there...

If you have a chance to see these guys live you certainly won't be disappointed! They really do have it all-exceptional talent, a truly unique sound and wonderful stage presence.

Buy the album, see the show and prepare yourself to be shocked! If these guys aren't huge in the next few years I will eat Tom's trademark trilby.
