Does anyone remember those legendary Vladivar vodka adverts? If so then there’s a very good chance you’ve heard of Har Mar Superstar. Har Mar aka Sean Tillman is a man of many talents who tonight is showcasing his musical talent for the beautiful people of Manchester.

Har Mar appears from his dressing room clad in a full length robe and immediately breaks straight into a track from his new album followed up by his biggest hit ‘D.U.I’. Now, personally, I do quite like Har Mar’s music, however, the main reason I find myself here tonight is that I know from previous experience that Har Mar is a man who defnately knows how to do one thing, entertain.

It isn’t long before Har Mar decides to go walkabout and finds himself at the bar sipping on JD before climbing atop the nearest table to perform his next song. Once he's greeted pretty much everyone in the Ruby Lounge Har Mar finally ends up back on stage, at which point the enquires ‘Who wants to f**k me?’. After playing the Har Mar classic ‘E-Z Pass’ he then performs a rather mellow but rather brilliant cover of The Libertines anthem ’Don’t Look Back Into The Sun’ to which a mass sing along ensues.

There are three things which are guaranteed at any Har Mar show, good music, great entertainment and the third thing, which happens towards the end of the show, partial Har Mar nudity. Har Mar spends the latter part of the gig parading around the stage dressed only in his footwear and leopard-skin print thong, while sporadically ’interacting’ with a female member of the audience.

The crowd here at the Ruby Lounge came expecting some great entertainment and Har Mar has more than delivered with one girl on the front row getting just a little bit more than that, I just hope, for his sake, that he walks into the unforgiving Manchester night in more than what he leaves the stage in.
