Not only their album title, but the series of events in Benicassim!

Gutted for the fans, but having been to FIB I know a bit of a storm and the loss of a band won't have stopped the festival goers having the time of their lives!!! Ignore the press and gossips because we have only heard cracking tales from our friends and GigJunkies that were in Spain last weekend! But just to clear things up...

FIB Heineken, the Benicassim international festival of music in Spain recovered from high winds on Friday night to be the biggest and best yet. Contrary to inaccurate reporting the festival promoter would like to take to the opportunity to set the record straight. The Festival was enjoyed by over 50,000 per day and saw great sets by Oasis, Maxïmo Park, 2 Many DJ’s, Franz Ferdinand, Elbow and The Killers to name but a few.

The promoter of the festival Vince Power states that “There was never any fire on the festival site at any time. The fire reported was on wasteland across a motorway and the high winds caused minimum disruption, which was all solved by the morning after the storm. At no time was the safety of any of our festival goers compromised, nor was the festival shut down at any time. Only a fraction of people camping had to be moved overnight to a community centre for shelter.”

The only disappointment came when the Kings of Leon cancelled just before they were due to appear on stage due to the prevailing wind. Every effort was made to re-schedule their set, but due to touring commitments in Switzerland, the band had no choice but to cancel their appearance. All day ticket fans were offered ticket transfers and the weekend continued on Saturday with an amazing line-up. The festival organisers would like to take this opportunity to thank the fans for their patience during Friday night’s storm and apologise for the timetable changes that occurred due to the unforeseen weather conditions.
