Kicking off proceedings is the astonishing Freeland (Adam Freeland’s live incarnation) who officially launch their new album exclusively at The Remix with what promises to be an unmissable epic live performance. This hugely anticipated album features none other than Tommy Lee (Motley Crue) on drums, Twiggy Ramirez on bass, Tony Bevilaque (Distillers/Spinerette) and Joey Santiago (The Pixies) on guitar.
Joining them on the program are uber cool New Yorkers Shy Child dropping their raucous breed of electro-popperey into the mix. Support comes from the super talented and much hyped, Trip who having toured with the likes of N.E.R.D, Justin Timberlake, Busta Rhymes and Outkast are poised to release their debut long player ‘Short Cuts’ at the end of April.
You may know him as one half of The Count and Sinden duo whose debut album is about to drop on Domino Records. Or perhaps you know him from one of his many aliases like Action Man, Young Lovers, Dead Soul Brothers and Voodoo Chilli or his supergroup Machines Don’t Care. You may also know him as a remixer nonpareil, rejigging everyone from Bloc Party and The Chemical Brothers through to Mark Ronson, Roisin Murphy and New Young Pony Club but we know and love him best as Hervé. Fresh from the success of his critically acclaimed debut mix comp ‘Ghetto Bass’ Hervé heads up an all star DJ cast co-starring our very own Eddy Temple-Morris, The Shoes, Joker, Youngsta, King Cannibal and N-Type amongst others.
The Remix is XFM’s only nationally broadcast specialist music show hosted by Eddy Temple-Morris. Eddy is widely regarded as the undisputed champion not just of genre-hopping but of genre-breeding, slipping enough pills into dance music’s pint until it finds itself curled up in the corner of the room with rock’s dangly bits in its mouth. ‘The first DJ in our history to get the crowd jumping and singing along before we get onstage… and he wears a good hat.’ LIAM HOWLETT, THE PRODIGY
A feast of edginess, energy and sub grooves right through till dawn…
