Stereophonics and Razorlight are two more big names added to the already explosive Isle of Wight Festival line up, as they prepare to rock the main stage on Saturday 13th June. The legendary festival returns for another year with what is promised to be the highlight of the festival season.
The festival will be Stereophonics’ exclusive UK festival appearance this year following the Double Platinum success of their Best Of - Decade In The Sun and its sold out UK arena tour this past December.  Stereophonics are sure to unite the festival in song as they perform a range of anthemic tracks from their 6 album back catalogue. The Welsh rock legends will close the show on Saturday night in true festival style.  Stereophonics front man Kelly Jones said: “The Isle of wight festival is gonna be a great weekend. We're recording most of the 1st half of this year so to step out of the studio and headline the festival this year with it being even bigger than when we played it a several years ago, will be a highlight for us!  It's gonna be rocking. Enough to make a bulldog wanna snap his chain!"

Following the release of their latest album, ‘Slipway Fires’, Razorlight begin a world tour, stopping at the Isle of Wight Festival for a well-earned co-headline slot. The Anglo-Swedish indie rock outfit, since forming in 2002, have become one of the most talked about bands in recent years. Renowned for their live performances, Razorlight will take to the main stage lead by Johnny Borrell strutting his stuff for what is sure to be a festival crowd pleaser.    John Giddings the Isle of Wight Festival organiser says: “We are proud to present two of the leading UK rock bands - it promises to be a night to remember”.  Not only will Saturday night end on a huge high; The Prodigy, Pendulum, Basement Jaxx and The Ting Tings are confirmed to set the stage alight on the opening night, Friday 12th June, in a truly electric frenzy.   If that wasn’t enough to tempt the crowds across the water, The Charlatans front man Tim Burgess will have complete control over the acts chosen to play in the Big Top on Sunday 13th June as he curates the entire day. And what better band to choose for the headline spot than his own?! The Charlatans will see off the night with a much-anticipated performance in the aptly named Big Top.

The iconic festival, which was originally formed in 1968, saw a spectrum of world famous artists from the likes of Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, The Who and Joni Mitchell and since its reincarnation in 2002 has seen modern day legends take to the stage including David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, Coldplay, Amy Winehouse and N.E.R.D.       The Isle of Wight Festival takes place 12th – 14th June at Seaclose Park, Newport, Isle of Wight.
