Stagecoach

Bio

Stagecoach are a band from various villages in the Surrey hills. They started out as a two-piece, then added a member every year until they felt they could comfortably rock a stadium. Stagecoach wanted to make country music, but things evolved around the time they rediscovered their tape collections from 1993. Their songs are about the usual stuff: Hot dogs, chess leagues, Buffy.

Stagecoach have played with Phoenix, The Wombats, Frightened Rabbit, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, Bishop Allen, Algernon Cadwallader and Kevin Devine. You might have heard them on BBC One's 2009 Gavin and Stacey Christmas / New Year specials. Channel 4 also used them on season 2 of Skins.

Their debut EP 'We Got Tazers' (Out now on Alcopop! Records) is getting play on Radio 1, 6Music, XFM, NME Radio and assorted BBC Regional stations. Alcopop! also released their super-limited Christmas EP 'The Holy Spirit' which features nice acoustic tracks and sick xmas jumpers.
