  I was lucky enough to win tickets to this event (cheers gigjunkie!) and as such got in for free to see Ingested for the 3rd time.

  The Cavern is a great local venue, been there many times before and it's just the right size for this gig.

  The support acts were good - Regurgitate Life particularly stands out as just one man and a backing track and was superb, starting out as Mohammed from Necrophagist did! Dyscarnate, the main support, were also brilliant, likened by a friend of mine to a cross between Nile and Behemoth.

  Ingested were on stage after with a headline set playing everything you'd expect them to off of Surpassing the Boundaries... as well as a new track and one from an old EP. Drummer Lyn Jeffs was superb and superhuman as always and the vocalist performed well, if being a little less chatty than normal. The band were tight and played in a way beyond a band who've only released one album.

  I won't hestitate to see Ingested next time they come around (3rd October at the Cavern).
